Description:

A huge fan of the Munson chalky eye, I used GRAND PALAIS extensively in the foundation of my tall purple/red lines early on (early-mid '90's). This second generation beauty has inherited all the best of its 4 grandparents quite well, actually! Clear, crisp pink that is sometimes a bit cascading in form, wonderful green throat spills out onto the eye for an extremely refreshing glow. This tall and bright lady in motion seems to be running for... your border garden! Very vigorous, and pods from recurrent scapes were ripe long before frost this year.

Great breeder, as it's SINFULLY fertile! Newer kids include "Backseat Romance" (2011), "Nancy the Rose Queen" (2010), "Lady Jane Pearcy" (2009), "The Lovely Ms. Margo" (2012), and "Big Beautiful Babe" (2015)!

Note (2019): I oversold this plant several years ago, and wound up losing it altogether. Through trades, I've FINALLY managed to get enough back to have in my gardens again! WOO HOO!!! I lined out a few nice divisions in Fall, but am limited for sales. I'm NOT going through this again - I LOVE this plant!!!  It's SUCH a good breeder, and not much ever left here to begin with.  A "sleeping beauty", regardless of your intentions!
