Description:

Because coming out with ANY new “yellow” at this point in the game is hard to do, you’d better bet there MUST be something truly distinctive about it to pull it off. I do have a good rep for identifying uniqueness in yellow after all - even if it did take my “Faber Sabre” ten years to do it, Garden Judges couldn’t help but notice it enough to award it… so it’s not like I don’t get it. This plant however, goes wayyyyy beyond the flower. Indeed... This is the biggest “Giant” I’ve created to date.

Check out my one-and-only helper Bobby (who’s 6’2”) standing behind a clump of this truly amazing performer just as it was starting to bloom, so you could see the “from another planet” scapes for yourself. TOO COOL to see these tree-sized scapes emerge from the biggest fans on Earth (with matching voracious foliage), branching like oak trees, and erupting in BIG ‘ole blooms of deeply saturated yellow! I did my best to narrow down the more than 150 really nice bloom photos I have on file here, but even with so many on this page, it’s still impossible to show you the actual feel this glorious plant has.

"Sears Tower" (on left of one photo) and this new kid - the difference is pretty immense! I only wish I would have actually planted them together, so you could see that this new kid has not only twice the plant habit (both in fan size/foliage, and scape structure) - but nearly a foot more in height.

I love the sun. It gives life to everything else I love. Life is delicious, and I want to share it ALL as much as I can. “Solicious” it is then… and I can only hope you can see the beauty in it, too. If this flower were ANY other color, the price would be double what it is... but it's not the money I'm after, it's the experience.

2022: I've reeeally dropped the price on this one after just a year. I actually don't have a ton of it here, but people really NEED to see this!
