Description: The flowers of this plant aren't yellow, they're QUITE a brilliant GOLD! There's a difference.
In my experience of looking at daylilies (how many millions, Lord only knows!), I couldn't help but notice that what so many called "gold" almost always leaned towards either yellow or orange to my eye. I saw a breeding challenge there, and BOY did I spend a lot of time trying to get a true gold (15 years, to be exact)... that didn't fall into the same category! Took me a spell, but HERE'S a NICE one for ya's!
"Bee Yourself" most DEFINITELY screams at ya from the gardens! PURE gold flowers atop tall (and very well branched/budded) scapes make CERTAIN not a soul will miss her fabulous display of cheer! With amazingly rapid rebloom, this pom squad just WON'T let ya down... for nearly the entire season! WOO HOO!!!
As usual, overall garden performance is KEY in my breeding... which is why I led here with a plant photo. In it, you'll see a 3-fan plant that was lined the previous Fall... with such fast rebloom, that all 6 scapes are clearly visible. Harder to see, is the fact that the lateral branches bifurcate into dual terminal bud whorls... for a NICE number of buds!
