Description: If ya decided to click on this description, then EYE GOTCHA!!! Now you can hear the WHOLE story 'bout this pretty gal!!!
2022: LIMITED... but be sure and check out the new video of this hottie, below!
I actually selected this plant based on what I thought was its performance (and amazingly robust foliage habit), but quickly figured out not long after... it was actually more than just zeal which truly got ME. It's the particular shade of lavender-tinged pink that's in the bold eye you see here that made me keep comin' back for another look... just HEAVENLY, and most certainly, "slightly different"! I'm SUCH a sucker for such things. Imagine that. ;-)
After moving the clump to a lined bed, the following year I was most amazed at how well the plant recovered... especially because the bed I put it in was previously fallow (for 3 years) due to a contaminated compost I'd been roped into. Indeed, other linings struggled... but not THIS tough gal! Strutting her stuff, she went on to produce her previous clump stat's that same year... and even bettered herself, with every single fan producing full rebloom. AMAZING!!!
Not the biggest flower in the world, but definitely LOTS of 'em to gawk at! Lateral branches all bifurcate into dual terminal whorls... meaning an incredible number of blooms. Add in dependable rebloom, and we're talking a pretty phenomenal show... and for a LONG time during the Summer! "Group" photos here were both taken in Sept... and even though of the last blooms on their scapes, STILL show perfection in all regards.
Indeed, if you're lookin' for a fantastic daylily with LOTS of garden value... then EYE GOTCHA!!! ;-)
Here's a new video I got in 2021 of this beauty!...
