Description:

Oh... my...GOD! What to get excited about first, the searing color... or those OUTRAGEOUS bloom scapes and plant habit?!

Positively flame-throwing brick red-orange blend with definitive yellow midrib streak can NOT be missed, from nearly a mile away! A true winner of the "stand back and see what ZINGS in the seedling bed" contest here (among over 40K competing kids), and hopefully in YOUR garden, TOO! A mid-late bloomer, who's color matches its season... but lemee tell ya, the development of such INTENSE scapes are a garden feature in themselves! Branches bifurcate/sub-branch TWICE, creating 12-16 terminal whorls (see scape shot... that's ONE scape!). Hard dormant, fans the size of my calves! There's no doubt, this plant has gone BALLISTIC!

This is one of 3 kids I introduced in 2016 that truly began what I call my "Giants". I've been FLOORED at the sheer dimensions of them all, and the intensity of bloom t'boot! I left behind a double fan I'd lined the year before in a display garden here (see garden photo), and it sure turned into a behemoth! I sure wish I'd have stood behind it for dimension, but know (at least) that the garden marker is 18" tall - those scapes topped out at 48"! Sold out every year since (at $150/DF).

2022: THANKS to a friend who was willing to trade me back for this plant, I FINALLY have some to sell this year... and at a lower fare! Get it now, or weep later!
