Description:

The biggest advantage to doing all the work that all these little beasties in my fields unendingly demand of me, is when it comes time to get OUT and about... and meet other crazy lily-lovers at conventions and meetings!  For any of you that have been to many of these fantastic affairs, you'll surely know that one of the most FUN and ENERGETIC "crazies" of them ALL... is Ms. Sandy Swayze, of Lexington, KY.

Honestly, if there were EVER a person that the description of "wide eyed, and bushy tailed" fits... it's most DEFINITELY Sandy!  She's incredibly supportive of ANYTHING that has to do with daylilies, as well as the poor fools out here that are creating new ones!  How this gal can pull off a "day job" like being a Doctor of Oncology, and still find time to dig daylilies for retail at her farm... is beyond me.  How she can even GO from such a serious line of work, to being known to all of us as a "kid in a candy store"... is just a mystery of nature!  Indeed, to know her is to LOVE her... she's just THAT kinda gal.

It took what seemed like forever to get this beloved seedling to the point of release, and I'm SO proud to be able to name it for something that puts a charge in my heart just thinking about... the SMILIN' SANDY SWAYZE.  Feminine, yet bold... this beauty is both serene and an attention-getter to the extreme!  The massive green-to-white throat and green edge are simply beautiful... and like Sandy, SURE to put a smile on the face of everyone who gets to know her.  We ALL love ya, Darlin'!!!
