Zing, POW!!! MAN... what FAB color!!! SO much to be said for the sheer garden power... of the color orange, especially when so searing!

"Vitamin C" is a product of exploring variations of the color orange, which I felt important because as a gardener with over 5000 perennials/trees/shrubs/annuals in his garden (other than 40K daylilies), it's always been hard to miss a really good "vibrant orange"! In this daylily, it was the "burnt orange" that I found alluring... and a very hot dose of it, at that! On massively dormant plants that are quick to increase, comes absolutely towering scapes... don't plant near trees, it might catch them ablaze with such vibrant emissions! Hard to see in my clump shot, but the foliage has a "blue-green" cast for the entire year... something I've been working on in my many dormants for a while now, to add foliage interest to off-bloom season (think of what blue Hosta has done for folks, and imagine that in daylilies - how cool!). Sooo... maybe one day, I'll get enough plants out there that someone will finally be able to tell... I LOVE orange, and am here to tell ya, this vibrant color adds life to your garden!

Great parent... generating quite a few newer intro's for me!
