Description: This gorgeous red is a tribute to my cousin George Zika, who after a miraculous (and extremely couragous) run against cancer, passed in August of last year ('21). George was a career fireman, then a Captain, then an Inspector... and totally approved of this fiery hottie to carry on his flame and zest for living, literally on the last day of his own.
George was a massive Polish dude, and quite proud of being considered "LOUD!" while perpetually being so FUN! Tremendously loving, and forever caring about others long before ever thinking of himself... I'm just so happy he appreciated that this daylily seemed to tell the same kind of story that he'd been telling, his entire life.
Naturally, most of the family has some of this plant in their gardens already (and I'm reserving a small block here, just in case they want to use it for a fundraiser one day), but I've some extra this year... if anyone would like one.
