Description: THIS bold hottie most DEFINITELY stops ya in yer tracks, and downright makes ya forget about where you were going in the first place! For sure, a phenomenon I can ONLY call... "Destinesia"!!!
I honestly have NO clue what possessed me to cross "Pullin' Strings" with "Heavenly United We Stand", but I did... and got 3 REALLY amazing selections from that cross. I've got a picture of the 3 after lining them the first time, and you can clearly see this one in the back - the best grower, for sure. I hope to have just one of the red siblings available in another year (or two), but this one's finally ready NOW! WOO HOOOOO!!!
In high temps, this marauder holds up really well... and with warm nights (70+), a near-black eye can appear - as the self "smokes" to a gray/purple, on all segments (shown in photo) - which is really pretty!. In all cases, it's great to see all the segments have truly pretty fluted ruffles.
Since I had NO idea where I was going with the cross that brought this amazing flower to me, it seemed I myself had succomed to "destinesia"... but seeing the results in my own gardens here? I just don't care where I was going - but I'm SURE happy I'm HERE to see this beauty in the flesh!
2022: Sold out last year, and LIMITED for this season.
