Description: What a COOL Unusual Form double! I think it's actually the fact that the segments are quite crispate, making them seem more narrow... or "small", when looking at it in comparison to other UF's. Whatever... the fact is, this VERY rapid rebloomer doesn't leave one wishin' for much - for sure!
Scape habit on this one is bizarre. It reliably gets 2 deep lateral branches, and a terminal "Y"... and all 4 bifurcate, for 8 terminal whorls of buds. More strange, is that the laterals grow out nearly 8" from the scape before doing so... making for a really "wide" display of these totally entertaining blooms. A literal "herd" of these outrageous blooms, each and every day! Seeing every mature fan produce TWO of these scapes each season... DIVINE!!! Might all sound "technical" to ya, but such things DO matter to a lot of folks... especially me, truth be told!
I generally don't like to talk about it, because my particular "state of mind" isn't exactly "mainstream"... but I'm not alone, at least not anymore. "Hoyty-toyty, nerd, geek, brainiac, dork, elitist", the list goes on... I've heard it all. We all have our own reasons for feeling like we "don't belong" sometimes, but when your head is constantly racing with variables and implications, the words can become seriously deafening. "Figure it out on your own" is the general rule of any sort of help growing up, and it's only by dumb luck I stumbled upon Mensa (an org for nerds, like me), where I've met some of the most curious and imaginative people I've ever met in my life! I wanted to dedicate something "unusual" that I've created to these people, marginalized in spite of their innate abilities and desire to help solve problems, because this particular "Herd o' Nerds" really are cool!... and even get my jokes! I love 'em so much, I was actually up for "Mr. Mensa 2021" at the "World Gathering" in Houston! I almost won, but was thrilled to walk with just the title of "Mr. Congeniality"... TONS o' FUN, with no obligations! Gotta just love that concept. ;-)
