AHS HM Award Winner, 2015

This beautiful cultivar is dedication to a great friend of mine... Susan Okrasinski (of Kingsport, TN). Susan is an AHS award-winning photographer of daylilies (and their landscapes), who spends a LOT of her time capturing impressions of incredible daylilies... and the people who love them! Lively, fun, and yet sophisticated... this "flashy" flower was just too much like her not to name it in her honor! Indeed, I love having this sunning gal in my garden... almost as much as Susan herself.

This large-flowered stunner spends its mornings emitting a chartreuse glow in the garden, which by late day turns a clear and crisp shade of the brightest lemon yellow one could hope to see! Punctuated by an amazingly explosive (and very large) purple-black eye, with bands of color ranging from wax green to lime to charcoal to burnt orange to purple to blood red to deep red (expanding well onto the segments)... this gal puts on quite a show! Framed delicately with a fine deep red wire and light ruffles... a picture of perfection, no doubt! Opens perfectly each and every time... indeed, ready for a "close up" on ANY day in your garden!

Great parent... shown in the newer "Flying First Class" (Owen, 2013), and "Point 'n Shoot" (Owen, 2014), and "Pullin' Strings" (Owen, 2013)
