Description:

Anyone who’s already found themselves “bitten” by the daylily bug knows FULL well what I mean with the name on this gorgeous gal! I can go over genetic traits of nearly a hundred different aspects I breed for, but NOT ONE of them tells the REAL story – about what actually attracts us to daylilies to begin with. It’s only been in trying my best to understand (and I’m not exactly a mental slouch) just what aspect of these beautiful bloomers is actually “doing” that somehow manages to grab us all by our inner core… but even after 25 years of trying “as my career”, I’m NOT giving up!!!

The overwhelmingly playful attitude of this unusual form (crispate) is really highlighted by its colorful and vibrant nature! I’m not sure why, but flowers with a “tutti fruity” look always grab my attention – perhaps because I never eat during the bloom season? I dunno. Meanwhile however, THIS heavy-bloomer just can NOT be missed in the gardens here. If you’ve got blinders on, maybe you could… but ya’d better keep ‘em handy, ‘cuz there’ll be a whole ‘nuther round of ‘em just a few weeks later! This gal is just RELENTLESS with her citric-ly sweet assault! Appears daylilies have soul custody of me alright… but I’ve no regrets. Have mercy!
