Description: Ooooo... SUCH an amazingly "cozy" color scheme!
This large and DEEP purple certainly has a GORGEOUS contrasting bringht green throat, doesn't it? It was rare among the kids of this line to see such depth of color... much less any form of eyewash - and this one has the most beautiful "smokey" wash of lavender that frames in the large green throat SO nicely! The plants themselves quickly form perfect clumps, and present the tall scapes quite evenly... making a LOVELY specimen! This purple scheme is so unique among the RFK lines, I really had no choice! I believe this one will be a fine parent for patterns on darker flowers (with green throats)... and hope folks do indeed use it for such things, as it's amazingly pod fertile!
Overall... this plant, with its VERY striking (and rich) color scheme is one that ALL garden visitors gravitate to immediately. It's sold out every year as a result. In fact, one gal (LOVE ya, Tomi!) actually loved this gorgeous kid so much... she had it tatooed on her forearm! WOW!!! Soooo... if ya like the pic's alone... all I can say is "GET IT!", before the people who SEE it... leave ya in their smoke!!!
