Description:

What a BEAST this 2015 Junior Citation Award winner is!!! SHE gets t'poundin' her chest in the garden, and ya better WATCH OUT!!!

Note:  My camera wants to make purple flowers red, and it drives me nuts.  Especially true with this one - it's purely purple to the eye, with just a hint of very deep red.

BIG blooms (often 8.5" at first) are DEFINITELY untamable! VORACIOUS plant habit and performance on this jungle-lovin' Momma, with richly deep green foliage that looks to be straight out of the Amazon! Club-like scapes branch like crazy, with all the laterals bifurcating for a maximum display of blooms... NICE! A bit moody (as photos show)... but in AMAZING ways! On cooler days she's more "formal" (solid deep self, smaller watermark), as if she's ready for a debut in NYC... while as the Summer wears on, she'll get her true red/purple coat on. Eventually, a "smoke" appears outside the watermark. Whatever... I really don't have time to figure out what makes a gal of such proportions tick. All I know is to just tell her that I love her - and MEAN IT! I sure wouldn't wanna get on THIS big bad gal's "bad" side!!!

2022: I was sold out of this one for several years, but have managed to get stock back again for this season!  Not a "lot", but it's here!  So... better get ya one, or be left swingin' from a tree!  ;-)
