Description: The "flagship" of my intro's the year it came out, though I've never had many to sell (bummer, as I wish EVERYONE had it!). This plant not only has a wonderful color scheme, but have mercy... it's really quite the lush showman! SO grateful for that, 'cuz the flowers are just SO dang GORGEOUS!!!
Note the photo with my hand in it: That's a single fan, lined the Fall before... with FOUR scapes on it. In the "sheered clump" photo, see the triple fan that was lined the previous Fall... with no less than FOURTEEN SCAPES by season's end, when it STILL had unopened buds... in late September! That's what's called "rebloom... ON STEROIDS"!!! The first decade of my hybridizing was done in northern PA, where I learned that in order to actually get rebloom in zone 5a, new scapes had to appear almost immediately after the initial ones did. I've been breeding for the north ever since, and can tell ya that it helps to have plants like this... with hardy dormant habit, t'boot!
Not sure what you're waiting for... ORDER SOME for yourself, or get steamrolled by others that WILL! It sells fantastically during bloom season in the nursery, when folks are really buying for the look of the flowers alone. I sell out every year, so don't dawdle... I'm quite sure it will again!
