Description:

This intensely inspirational flower is one that I'd waited to introduce for years... both because it's one of the most beautiful I'd ever grown, and because I'd wanted to use it to honor one of the most influential people in my life... my sister Jane. A realist, a scientist, an educator, an activist, and an eternal optimist... Jane has been a mentor of realistic enlightenment to me from birth. Her gift of free and intelligent thinking is one I will never be able to repay, vow to never take for granted, and appreciate with all my heart and soul. Thank you, Jane... for everything you've done... and everything you ARE to me!

This very clean, clear, and enormously rich-casted flower is proud beyond belief! Exuding pure joy and wonderment, the sturdy nature of both the flower and plant is of the most firm foundation one could hope to witness. Like Jane, her beauty comes from within. The "Spring fresh" origin spreads to an explosively strong and ornate roundness in nature... leaving one quite breathlessly inspired by its presence alone. Reblooming immediately and multiple times, it seems there's no limit to the tenacity of this flower... as with Jane's persistent hope for a better future for us all, its power of enlightenment seems unending!

There's a story behind the "plant photo": It was the very last double fan of Miss Jane I had left in one bed, and was rather unattended (and starving for water), I was BLOWN AWAY that those two small fans not only bloomed such massive scapes, but were both putting up even bigger ones for their rebloom! You can see the very last bloom on the initial scapes was open, and the rebloom was set to start the very next day. WOW! Now THAT'S "garden PERFORMANCE"!!!

GREAT parent for passing along massive plant habit and greener edges as well... as with its award-winning progeny, "Passive Aggressive" (Owen, 2013).
