Description: THIS sassy party gal most DEFINITELY needs a spankin’!!! A different story EVERY time, I tell ya!
“Deanna’s Hope” (Owen, 2019) really had me wonderin’ if I could pass twisted filaments with breeding, as I SO loved the surprisingly noticeable look of that trait. Well, it turned out I COULD… and I’m SO happy to get this kid out for folks to see just how FUN they can be!
I wasn’t sure if I liked the halo eye as much at first… but it’s so wide, and always presents at the petal’s fold of this adorable unusual form (crispate/cascade)… that I quickly grew to really love it! It actually demarks the large green throat from the self as well – so I’m glad it’s there. The comical nature of this “coochie-coo” look with the filaments was just TOO endearing in the overall playful look to pass up… especially when there’s just SO dang many blooms to enjoy!!!
5-way bifurcating branching not at all uncommon, and reblooms VERY well here. Also very pod fertile (like its Mom), so I’m looking forward to continuing with this “party” line – they’re just TOO fun to see in the garden!!!
