Daylily: Lipstick on a Pig

Oh MY! This sear-sucking pig-skinned BBB sure does lay that HOT lipstick on THICK... wouldn't ya say?! Have MERCY girl, you're lookin' LOVELY today (and EVERY day, ALL Summer long!)!!! :-*

Honestly, the color of the massive eye on this FAT-petaled sow is REALLY pretty! A positively DELICIOUS and DEEP hot pink that spreads out well onto the petals, and also a wide band around the edges. The self color is a blend of peach and orange. The flower isn't "huge", but MORE than makes up for that in overall bud count... with side branches (laterals) that branch in themselves (bifurcate) for enormous bud counts... and MULTIPLE rebloom scapes over INCREDIBLY robust dormant foliage! In light of all this, bloom season on this one spans from early-mid... through late! THIS gal can sit her curly tailed booty in MY garden... ANY time!!!

Recently got a few more photos here that I took of this hottie in the Kleckner's garden during the AHS Nat'l Convention in Summer 2019, where she was wallowing QUITE comfortably in her new Wisconsin pen! Though not the best pic's (these flowers were the first of the season to open) you can see that even in the tundra, she STILL maintains her AMAZING (and robust!) habit... as well as phenomenal branching! I just LOVE to see the kids doing as predicted, so far north!!!

A VERY low price for such a new (and VASTLY improved) performance plant of such distinction... so... SuuuuuuuuEEEE! Get to that order button QUICK, or get stuck holdin' a bag o' nothin' but saggy 'ole rinds!!!!!
