Description:

In a specimen clump, the fully rounded display (reminds me of Mae West!) of these unique blooms is beyond "endearing". I say "unique", because even though the color combination of the face may not seem so, the thick and bubbly orange-gold edge that's framing it truly is... and quite noticeable, even moreso from a distance (strangely enough). Blooms are not only huge, but open to a fully flat face. Put it all together with fantastically ROBUST plant habit, there's just NO overlooking it! On vacation and miss it? NO problem... each and every fan reblooms VERY RAPIDLY! Here in zone 7, even a THIRD full round!

It's been impossible to get a photo of the bloom that truly shows its unusual beauty (no matter how many I take)... much less the nature of the MASSIVE habit of the clumps themselve, when seen IN the garden. SO many visitors flocked to this one as a seedling (and the fact that this hottie reblooms so well meant just about every visitor saw it), I just couldn't deny its debut... so here it is!!!

Full sun photos show the brilliance, but shady ones show more detail. With luck, all these may just give you some idea of how the orange edge works in concert with size and stamina for your (and your visitors) attention.  I've added a photo that hopefully depicts how tough this plant is as well, recovering from a harsh division... as if nothing ever happend.  What an amazing gal!
