Description: My camera is flat incapable of capturing the depth of this MESMERIZING flower! It's not just the purple/red issue with cameras that fail to catch deep purples (like this plant produces in flawlessly deep perfection), but in this particularly distinctive flower, the absolutely electrical impact of its pink/lavender eyewash.
Due to its popularity as a seedling during the 2014 AHS National here in '14, I let myself succumb to demands... and introduced it a year before I really should have. As a result, I sold out quickly... and never really got much out in circulation. At last, by taking it off the market for several years (and making some trades in 2021), I've some to offer again! Great news, as since then I've had the chance to get many GREAT reviews of how "it's the most AMAZING purple I've ever grown"... from nearly every person who got it early on. NICE to hear, especially from northern folks who say the purple is even MORE intense in their areas! I'm just simply amazed at how sunfast it is here in the midst of a horizon-to-horizon NC blazing Summer sun.
This plant has EXTREMELY beefy foliage and habit, as well as "baseball bat" scapes... and truly great branching t'boot! Notice the photo is of this plant as an "infant"... a 2nd-year seedling of just a single scape, but already enough to wage a massive scape and simply jaw-dropping bloom.
