Description:

This VERY lovely flower is a great asset to ANY garden (zones 3-9) indeed, but let me tell ya... its beauty is MORE than just "skin deep"! While I've found the flower alluring since this hottie was but a baby, as a breeder of "performance", I have to admit it's the "candelabra" scaping/branching that REALLY floors me! 6-way branching isn't uncommon, and to see all those split into 2 for even MORE whorls of buds? Well, "distinctive" can come in many ways among daylilies... but THIS one wins my award for the most AMAZING habit, and even reblooms!!!

This plant was named for a VERY dear friend of mine, Barbara Alsop. An absolute angel on earth, who I was BLESSED to have met when arranging my speaking trip to England in 2011. We became very close during that time, and remained friends until her unexpected passing in 2015. I miss her terribly, as all who knew her do... but I'm so glad she enjoyed "her flower" as much as she did.
