Description:

This lovely gal has a very noticeable (and pretty!) green throat that ya just can't miss! Very large flowers are borne on nicely tall scapes, making the overall look quite graceful... "statuesque", in fact.

For me personally, this plant was the result of a strong interest in green throats going well back into the 90's. Eventually, I was pretty successful at achieving some really great ones! First came "Sugar High" ('09), followed by this lovely gal in 2010. George Doorakian was (unbeknownst to me) working heavily on them as well, and truly made a mark with several amazing green-throated plants... most notable, is the recent Stout Medal winner, "Rose F. Kennedy". Though my green lines continued with many other introductions, none had the same genetics as George's lovelies... until I crossed this one with Miss Rose, and got "Hypatia" in 2016 - the first of several that are combining the two lines. "Beneficial Sister" has given me an absolute wealth of wonderful seedlings... nearly all of which have also been extra large, dormant, and sporting wonderful green throats as well!
