Description: Massive blooms (start out at 8") and are a VERY clear raspberry... a true beacon in the garden! Time lapse between first bloom and rebloom scapes is only a day or two... indeed, you won't stop loving this great specimen in the garden!
This plant was registered to honor the late Don Gibson, a quite famous country songwriter and singer, who was born right here in my county seat of Shelby, NC! One of his most famous hits was the song "I Can't Stop Loving You", and it seemed only fittin' that there be a great daylily named for such achievemant. The majority of this plant served as a donation to folks who supported the building of our new Don Gibson Theatre for the Performing Arts here in Shebly... which just opened to a full house in November of 2009! A GORGEOUS new facility (thanks to our VERY generous supporters), and I'm quite honored to have served as a member of the comittee that founded it... and to have met so many WONDERFUL people in the process!
Note: Since over 200 of these plants went to donors over its first 3 years out, it took FOREVER for me to build up inventory from the mere 2 fans I'd saved. At last, for the 2020 season, I've some available! Not much though (can only love ya's for so long!), so get to orderin'!
