What FUUUUUN to see such "movement" in the gardens!!!
Just GOTTA love this feminine color scheme... the huge green throat, the big deeper lavender/pink eye wash, the pink self... and the FORM! WOO HOO!!! It's the sepals that are 100% "on the go" with this one, most often quilled... but oftentimes simply "twisted" (or "crispate"), which translates into solid "unusual form" (UF) classification. It's a HOOT to see in a clump, with SO much action going on... and with a feminine twist! Rest assured, only the flower can be thought of in such a manner... because the PLANT... is OUTRAGEOUS in stature and zest! Reblooms like a total banshee here, effectively showing off from mid season through late.
This seemed like the PERFECT plant to name for 6 absolutely FABULOUS ladies I happen to know, who in cahoots, have done SOOOO MUCH for the daylily world... in and around the Dakota Prairie! Vicky Aughenbaugh, Donna Steele, Alexis McEnelly, Virginia Delvaux, Le Walls, and Bertie Moore are just simply... The Sensational Six!!! They've certainly won the hearts of daylilydom in their Region... but hey, I'm all the way down in NC, and they TOTALLY stole MINE TOO!!! Honestly, they're six of the nicest gals ANYONE could hope to know... I'm forever indebted to their hearts and generosity, and won't ever forget it. LOVE YOU GALS!!!! XOXOXOXOXO
