Description:

InDEED... it's a GIANT!!!

Have mercy, this is one AMAZING daylily! BIG flowers are definitely a cool aspect, and the color scheme is surely "slightly different"! The green throat leads to an unusual purple eyewash, and then to a red/purple self (that's actually a tad more purple to the eye than in my sunny pic), and very fine-line triple edge of lavender-purple-gold. Pretty cool! However...

The PLANT is nothing short of SPECTACULAR! I generally don't show my seedling shots, as they're really meant for my own reference... but I just couldn't help but show how this plant so voraciously overshadowed all the other seedlings when getting its "blue flag" (selection) status in its 3rd year (mature) here. It actually had pretty much stomped right on over the plants around it, with SUCH amazing heft and sheer size! After lining, you can see it rebounded rather dramatically... with scapes to simply DIE for, and though a late season bloomer, immediate rebloom that finished long before frost!

Okay, so I'm a TOTAL sucker for GIANT plant habit. I'm American... what d'ya want from me?! Bigger IS better in my book... though I'm a bit old fashioned too, and believe that QUALITY matters as well! This one is THROUGH THE ROOF with it ALL! WOO HOOOOOO!!!
