Description: This UF is QUITE the "Warrior"!
One of 3 "Giant" kids introduced in 2017 that shares the OUTRAGEOUS plant habit with its half-sisters ("Ballistic", and "Willfred"). VORACIOUS plants have monumental scapes, with all laterals bifurcating into double whorls of buds. The color in bright sun does indeed look more reddish, though in reality, it has a slight purple hue to it. The watermark has just a tad of lavender in it, which gives the flowers a truly unique "smokey" look... really cool!
Note the "group" photo. Those are a group of 5 double fans lined the previous Fall in my sales bed, and the one closest and left is just a single fan. Pretty amazing how well they rebound after just having been split, for sure! Even more amazing... all the largest ones had already been dug and shipped - which is always the case, yet adds even MORE quality to this conqueror of a plant! Indeed, only the name of a beloved Commander could EVER fit a cultivar like THIS ONE!!!
