Description:

Ever since maturing at age 3, this plant has produced the most consistent, amazing, and clear blooms. Adding in UF qualities to the huge flowers has truly been a fun affair to see every day... and with such incredible rebloom, it's been mesmerizing to watch ever since! Without prompting, Vic Santa Lucia (Stout winner, and expert breeder for clear-eyed cultivars) picked it out of a field of nearly 5K seedlings as the "best in the place" when visiting. Though I definitely felt the same myself, I really wanted to see if HE (of ALL people) would even notice it... and about cried when he did! Due to some hiccups in its evolution to intro, the road was positively TORTUROUS in getting it out... and because it sold out almost immediately when it did, I've had an even harder time keepin' it in stock ever since! Perhaps I should hit up my friend Drew out in Arkansas, who sent a pic of HIS clump of this beauty in his garden last year... just to make me jealous!

They say the eyes are the "windows of the soul", and because the massive pink eye of this one stares you down from afar... it seemed appropriate to name it not just for that reason, but because after pouring my entire life into the evolution of daylilies... it seems my very own soul has been truly effected. My gardens, at this point, are truly an extension of "who I am"... as a person.
